He said being in the Europa League isn't ideal because it starts in early July and we will play the u21s in the opening rounds and introduce the senior players as we progress.

Not for me this idea. Don't mind a blend of reserves and fringe players and youth team players. Not an entire u21 side though.
Good opportunity for the kids if he does, but I reckon we'll see half a team of seniors maybe. Would like to see what Burke Chambers & Lee ....Borg and Oxford maybe. Even the kid Brown. Don't know too many others.

Bilic has the right fucking attitude to be honest, play weakened team, we WILL progress mentality. When we do and in normal season time play stronger team. If it backfires tough shit, concentrate on the League.

Good, we shouldn't be in it anyway as we didn't get there on merit. Why fuck over the season and disrupt pre-season to play some pub teams.

U21 team should be enough against the weaker teams, but a strong bench might be an idea in case it looks like going wrong.

A mix of youngsters and fringe players should be spot on against the majority of the opposition we can face in that first qualifier.
I'm sure he'll chose depending on who we face and I also reckon the odd first teamer would probably ask to play anyway knowing the ultimate goal of facing better teams and wanting to impress the new man.

Sullivan sauid a few months ago that the bulk of the senior squad would still be away for the first round and we'd likely play the youths, so no great surprise in what Slav said.
